The Tacet Ensemble
The Tacet Ensemble is a leading UK ensemble specialising in modern classical music, in particaler new works by British composers. Commissions and premieres have included works by Martin Butler, Peter Wiegold, Michael Finnissy and Robert Saxton.
In addition to their concert work they enjoy exploring new settings for contemporary composition, playing in pubs, clubs, galleries and cinemas.
This unconventional approach has led to many fruitful collaborations, most notably in the ongoing series JUNCTIONS: English Music Breaking Formation which explores links between contemporary composition and traditional English folk music.
